Patronal Feast.


 

In Ilobasco, as we already know, these Fiestas are dedicated to our Patron Saint Michael the Archangel, which take place between September 20 and 29.

In religious activities we can find different processions, Novenas and Holy Masses, but the most important days of the church's festivities are on September 28 when a solemn procession in honor of our Patron Saint takes place and proceeds to a moment of praise and theater, to end with a beautiful dawn. On September 29, the solemn mass is celebrated in honor of Saint Miguel the Arcangel.

In social activities, the Dancing Carnival has historically been one of the most anticipated events within the framework of the festivities, the walks of the queens accompanied by local peace bands and from different parts of the country are expected by hundreds of people in the main streets from the city.

In recent years, agricultural activities have been added that have attracted the attention of thousands of inhabitants of the rural area of ​​the municipality and also of visitors from all over the country who like this lifestyle and we must applaud the initiative, well, yes There is something that we cannot deny is that the celebrations should be for everyone, respecting the diversity in tastes and preferences of each inhabitant of our city.
